Je suis un cartographe fantasy et auteur originaire du Royaume-Uni. Je possède également un master spécialisé dans la création de cartes géographiques, ce qui me permet de combiner connaissances géographiques et créativité pour réaliser des cartes uniques.

My name is Melissa, and I’m a freelancer from Yorkshire, U.K. With a Master’s degree in Cartography (G.I.S. and Remote Sensing) from Aberystwyth University, I specialise in creating custom fantasy maps for books, games, and world-building projects.
As a fantasy author myself, I understand the importance of bringing a world to life, whether through detailed maps for your story or immersive settings for your game.

De quel type de fichier ma carte sera-t-elle ?
Vous pouvez choisir entre un fichier JPEG, PDF, PNG ou TIFF. Mon type de fichier standard est PNG, mais vous pouvez également demander n'importe lequel des autres. Je crée mes cartes avec Procreate.
S'agira-t-il d'une carte en noir et blanc ou en couleur ?
En standard, je propose soit un fond blanc uni, soit un fond texturé en niveaux de gris ou en sépia. Mais si vous recherchez de la couleur, vous pouvez l'ajouter en supplément à la commande. Vous recevrez deux cartes finales. J'ai des exemples de cartes précédentes dans mes images de service et dans mon portfolio.
Quelle sera la qualité et la taille de l'image finale ?
Sauf indication contraire de votre part, la taille de l'image sera de 6 600 x 5 100 pixels (55,88 x 43,18 cm) et d'une résolution de 300 dpi. Faites-moi savoir si vous avez besoin de certaines dimensions. Le format de papier le plus grand que je puisse atteindre est d'environ A2 avant que la qualité de l'image ne commence à diminuer.
Puis-je utiliser votre carte dans mon livre/jeu D&D/projet ?
Oui! Toutes mes cartes sont livrées avec un usage commercial pour tout ce dont vous avez besoin. Si vous souhaitez m'ajouter dans les remerciements, ce serait bien aussi!
Pouvez-vous fournir des images vectorielles ?
Non, je ne peux travailler qu'avec des fichiers raster. Ma taille d'image standard est d'environ A3 et elle peut être réduite, par exemple pour un livre, sans problème. Si vous recherchez un fichier que vous pouvez facilement redimensionner pour un logo, etc., je peux vous fournir un fichier tiff que vous pouvez convertir en fichier vectoriel si vous avez accès, par exemple, à Photoshop.
