Modern Obscure Music
Music Artist Connection • Freelance
Jun 2025 - Feb 2026 • 8 mos
Modern Obscure Music is an independent record label based in Barcelona. Since its inception, the label has explored the interplay between electronic music, experimental sound, and art. Within MOM I collaborate as A&R, curator, and agent for the label’s showcases. My work focuses on the artistic direction and curatorial development of the label’s projects and events, bringing a fresh and sensitive approach that expands the identity and community of Modern Obscure Music. My purpose is to create a bridge between the Berlin scene and the label, contributing to MOM’s sonic vision by bringing my perspective on Berlin’s cult and underground music culture, and supporting its continuous evolution as a platform for experimental and interdisciplinary creation.

Mana is a Japanese Tokyo based community, radio show and event series that seeks to create an open space for all, by linking up with both established figures and local artists around the globe My collaboration with Mana emerged from a shared sensibility around sound and visual storytelling. Through my participation in the community, I became involved in the artwork and animation for Mana’s Vol.2 and Vol.4 events, in Tokio and Berlin. I designed visual materials that helped to shape Mana’s identity by translating the curatorial spirit of the underground community into imagery that reflects its hybrid nature between music and art. As part of our collaboration my work aimed to amplify the dialogue between the young Japanese sonic sphere and the European music scene, expanding the connection between both contexts. This collaboration became a space of exchange — a bridge between cultures.

(S)punk began as a party for Barcelona’s queer community and evolved into House of (S)punk, one of the first LGTBIQ+ record label in the city’s club scene. From its inception and over the course of two years, I worked as the art and creative director responsible for designing the label’s visual identity. The approach was to move away from the stereotypical dark imagery of techno and club culture, creating instead a bright, fluid space that could represent diversity and its inherent fluidity. My work focused on developing abstract landscapes, digital paintings and animated visuals, emerging from an intimate, dreamlike universe and stemming from the process of translating sound into image. I generated visuals full of life and dynamism, composed of organic textures, movement, light, and color, exploring a variety of states of dissolution and transformation that broke rigid structures and traditional patterns. The result was a visual language that mirrored the music’s energy while celebrating freedom, expression, and queerness.
