What topics do you specialize in?
With an MA in Gastronomy, I have a particular expertise in food writing, but I also specialize in business topics (hiring, management, company culture), travel, cultural issues, politics, and more.
What do you need from me to get started?
To start a project, I need to know the topic, the audience, and the primary goal of the piece (i.e. "I want to be seen as a subject matter expert in this topic" or "I want to show potential customers how they can use my product in a non-salesy way"). Examples of content you like are also helpful.
Can I order shorter/longer articles?
Of course! From small, 250-word pieces to longform articles, I'm happy to work with you to customize a gig that fits your needs.
Will the content be 100% original?
Absolutely. I never, ever reuse or repurpose any content I have already written. Everything I write will be created from scratch for you, the client.
Will I own the rights to the content?
Yes, you will own 100% of the rights in perpetuity, for use in whatever medium(s) you prefer.
Can I use your name on the article?
In most cases, clients are hiring me to write an article to publish under their own name or company, but I'm happy to discuss attribution depending on the type of content.
What style guide do you use?
I use the Associated Press Stylebook as the foundation for spelling, grammar, and internal consistency, though I'm happy to use other style guides or your house style guide.
