I graduated from Johns Hopkins in 2022 with a MS/BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a 4.0 GPA, after which I applied to medical school. I was fortunate to receive acceptance offers from half of the schools to which I applied, including Harvard and UPenn/WashU on full-ride merit scholarships. But after receiving a Marshall Scholarship, I decided to defer medical school for a few years to pursue a DPhil in Paediatrics at the University of Oxford before beginning my MD program. I learned a lot from my time as a pre-med student/medical school applicant--let me share what I learned with you!
