IT Portfolio Manager and Product Owner

Sep 2022 - Dec 20253 yrs 3 mos

Took over the central IT portfolio for the Munich operation, sitting between business units, the PMO, and the CIO office. Held the Product Owner role for ServiceNow and LeanIX in parallel through October 2024. Ran the active book of work: around 90 projects at any one time, €50M annual budget, covering cloud (Azure and AWS), SaaS rollouts, data governance, and the early AI and analytics workstream. Designed and chaired the governance cadence.

Technical Project Manager

Jan 2018 - Aug 20224 yrs 7 mos

Capital projects inside the Munich plant. The kind of role where an IT person ends up co-owning a robotics installation with the maintenance team. Delivered plant engineering projects with individual budgets up to €650K: robotics cells, HVAC upgrades, and a 12-ton crane system for truck-body handling. Managed contractors end to end, from tender through scheduling, commissioning and technical handover.

Supervisor, Production

Dec 2012 - Dec 20175 yrs

First leadership role. Multi-year turnaround of a 23-person multi-shift team. Replaced manual paper shift reports with live Power BI dashboards. Feedback to operators moved from a four-hour lag to near real-time. Defect rate dropped roughly 80%; OEE improved by 8 points. Sick leave fell from 16% to 4% over two years through restructured shift handovers, a daily feedback routine, and consistent leadership development.
