Monitors clients' progress in attainment of stated goals and counsels residents regarding effective strategies to barriers that effect implementation of their treatment plans and services Maintains appropriate statistical client-related data Participates in quarterly case review meeting with staff members/interns Participates in case management, staff and agency meetings and trainings Facilitates support and psycho-educational group for program participation Facilitates monthly community meetings regarding employment, personal finance, etc. Apply social work values, principles, and techniques to families and children in complex domestic violence and child abuse cases within the Foster Care System Experience working with situations that involves family groups who react to circumstances with impulsive behavior that may be self-destructive Such a person may be delinquent, a source of family and child- rearing problems, or a center of disturbance and deterioration in school and neighborhood groups, etc., because of chronically defective behavior Professional knowledge of social work theories, concepts, principles, techniques and skills obtained through graduate education and/or extended experience to perform techniques for domestic abuse and/or child abuse/neglect cases Ability to intercede in high stress situations to limit or reduce likelihood of harm to protect victims (this requires developed professional skills and specialized training with a substantial degree of emotional stability) Knowledge and skill in interviewing families and other personnel Ability to deal with adverse reactions of the family upon notification that an incident met criteria as abusive or neglectful Knowledge in selective use of questioning, explanation, and guidance in working with the family and the child to assist them in exploring their problems and finding the most appropriate method of dealing with problems
