During my five‑month internship at the National Institute of Hydrology (NIH), Roorkee, I worked extensively on Remote Sensing and GIS applications for drought monitoring and water resource assessment. My responsibilities included preprocessing satellite datasets, integrating multiple drought indices (NDVI, SPI, soil moisture), and performing supervised classification with accuracy assessment. I also contributed to cartographic outputs and research workflows, focusing on Bundelkhand and Rajasthan regions, ensuring publication‑ready maps and reports. This experience strengthened my expertise in Google Earth Engine, QGIS, and ArcGIS, and gave me hands‑on exposure to real‑world hydrological research projects.
