What was asked in the project The project asked you to plan and manage a complete project, not just build software. The main requirement was to design and document a Student Task and Reminder Management System using proper project management principles. You were expected to show how a project is initiated, planned, monitored, and controlled using professional standards. This included defining aims and objectives, identifying stakeholders, preparing a project charter, setting scope boundaries, creating a WBS and Gantt chart, managing risks, estimating costs, and checking feasibility. How the project was handled The project was handled in a structured and systematic way. First, the problem was identified, students struggle with managing tasks and deadlines. Then clear aims and SMART objectives were defined. After that, stakeholders were identified and their roles documented. A formal project charter was created to approve scope, budget, timeline, and authority. The work was broken down using a WBS, and a Gantt chart was used to manage time and milestones. Risks were identified early and recorded in a risk register with mitigation plans. Cost estimation and feasibility analysis were also carried out to justify the project financially. In what way it was handled The project was handled using a professional project management approach aligned with PMBOK guidelines. Planning was emphasized over coding, with strong focus on documentation, control, and decision making. Agile thinking was used for flexibility, while traditional tools like schedules, risk registers, and milestone reviews ensured discipline. Regular monitoring, clear communication plans, and quality checks were built into the process to ensure the project stayed within scope, time, and budget.
