FAQ
Is my manuscript safe with you? Will you share my ideas?
100% safe. As a professional editor, I deeply respect your intellectual property and the hard work you put into this book. I will never share, distribute, or use your work. You retain all copyrights, always.
I am nervous to share my work. Is your feedback going to be harsh?
My goal is to elevate your book, not tear you down! I provide "tough but loving" feedback. I will be honest about what isn't working (plot holes, pacing issues), but I will also cheer you on where your writing shines and offer constructive solutions to fix the weak spots.
My novel is 85,000 words, but your packages say 50,000 words. How do I order?
Please send me a message! Tell me your exact word count and genre, and I will create a Custom Offer with an accurate price and delivery time for your full manuscript.
Will you fix my spelling and grammar during this edit?
No, this is strictly a Developmental Edit. We are focusing on the "big picture" (plot, characters, structure, pacing). If we fix grammar now, you might end up deleting those corrected sentences anyway! If you need proofreading later, check out my other gigs or message me.
What genres do you specialize in, and are there any you do NOT edit?
I specialize in most fiction genres (Romance, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, YA, Contemporary). I do NOT currently edit poetry, academic textbooks, or highly technical non-fiction. If you aren't sure if we are a good fit, message me a 1,000-word sample!
