Have you ever worked with a 3D scanner? Then you must be familiar with the output of the scanner: a point cloud replicating all the deformation of the original part and that's in case you took your time and scanned the part correctly. If you manufacture the part only based on a scan data you will get a part with noise from a scanner and the deformation of the original part. And that's where I'll help you out.
