Basketball Pose Similarity Analysis System: Developed an end-to-end deep learning–based system to analyze and compare basketball player movements from video. Built a FastAPI-powered backend with a lightweight JavaScript frontend for synchronized dual-video visualization. Implemented player tracking using YOLOv8 and extracted biomechanical pose data via MediaPipe (33 keypoints per frame). Designed a normalization pipeline ensuring translation, scale, and rotation invariance for accurate comparison. Engineered a multi-dimensional similarity model combining form, timing, and motion path analysis using FastDTW and biomechanical metrics to generate an overall performance score. Deployed the system as a containerized application with PostgreSQL for structured storage, supporting real-time processing, visualization, and scalable multi-user access.
