I am a practicing Registered Nurse working in Cure Children`s Hospital Uganda, one of the best neurosurgical pediatric hospitals in Africa with hands on experience in general Neuro-surgical pre-Op and post-Op care. I also worked as a Paramedic with the East African Crude Oil pipeline Company under City Ambulance, from where i gained experience in Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Am also a clinical researcher who worked in the 2022 Ebola outbreak in Uganda with researchers from Oxford University London in development of a tool to assess stigma amongst Ebola survivors

Review of infection prevention protocols in the ICU and follow up on adherence on patient safety tools such as CLABSI, CAUTI and VAP tools are being used. Conducting clinical education sessions amongst nurses and the multidisciplinary health care team to contribute to evidence-based care improvements. Monitoring team compliance to hand-washing which in the patient space. Support implementation of hospital IPC policies and procedures.
