VuePress is a documentation framework that can be configured to build portfolios and blogs. The result is a static site that can be deployed on platforms such as Netlify.
What is Netlify?
Netlify is a platform to publish static sites, that is, completely generated web pages with content that does not change dinamically.
What is the procedure to publish my portfolio?
First, the information necessary for the content of the sections is collected. Then, a sample of the site is published to a private address. After review, it is finally published on Netlify.
What happens if I later want to update my information?
The procedure is similar to that of adding a page. New information is received that will change the content of a section. The published site is then rebuilt and updated.
It could be published in Spanish?
Yes. Vitepress Portfolio Basic is available in both English and Spanish.
How long is the site published?
For 12 months. And it can be renewed in a similar way to updating a page.
Can I associate a custom domain?
By default, any site on Netlify is accessible from its Netlify subdomain, which has the form [name-of-your-site].netlify.app. For example, you would access a site named ian-dev at https://ian-dev.netlify.app/. Setting up a custom domain can be handled as additional work.
