Welcome! I’m a professional editor, beta-reader, story outliner, and author, who has spent the last five years writing, editing, and reading creative fiction. I’ve completed a Masters Degree in Creative Writing and now work at an editorial level. I also led Creative Writing workshops for the Undergraduate students. Due to my history degree, I can offer insight for fantasy and historical fiction writers who wish for an element of historical realism, with a specialism in the Medieval period and the 20th century. My beta readings also include lgbt sensitivity readings, as a bi trans man.

This is the second time I have used Sam for beta reading. Each time he has shown his understanding of the characters in a way that many others haven't. His comments and suggestions have given me a great starting point for further revisions and editing. I highly recommend Sam!

The commentary made it clear to me what I need to clarify in the story before I publish it. While some elements in my story he didn't like I feel are set in stone (the cast of 12, the supernatural elements), I will take his other ideas to heart.
