I'm a materials science researcher. For the past 4+ years, I've been using Blender to create 3D scientific visuals.
I help researchers turn their data and ideas into figures that actually communicate something. I also teach Blender specifically for scientific illustration at researcherlife.in.
The difference from a regular graphic designer: I read your paper before I start drawing.
