As a core member of the legal team, I provided strategic legal counsel to Fintech and Tech companies, ensuring their operations remained robust within a shifting fintech compliance environment. As part of my role, I have undertaken the following: A) Product Compliance & Data Privacy: I advised companies on end-to-end fintech regulatory compliance, including redesigning product structures and UI/UX mapping to align specifically with the Indian Data Privacy regime (DPDP & GDPR). I have also drafted platform privacy policies that is GDPR compliant. B) Regulatory Frameworks: I was responsible for devising comprehensive internal frameworks, including customized Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policies, and internal governance documents. C) Contract Lifecycle Management: I managed the end-to-end lifecycle of over 700 commercial contracts, ensuring every agreement served the client's long-term business goals. D) High-Stakes Negotiations: My work involved drafting, reviewing, and leading negotiations for complex technology agreements- such as SaaS, Tech Licensing, and SOWs - as well as General Corporate documents like Employment and Consultancy agreements. E) Government Liaison & Policy: I served as a strategic liaison for Fintech policy, drafting formal representations to Indian regulatory bodies and contributing to the firm’s Knowledge Management and legal writing initiatives. This role required me to manage business expectations with legal insights and exposed me to the niche requirement of businesses in diverse sectors.

In-House Legal Counsel | Lendingkart Finance Limited (Fintech & NBFC Operations)

As a Legal Manager, I provided legal strategy for the NBFC's core commercial transactions. My role focused on the following: A) Contracts relating to Technology & API Infrastructure: I specialized in the end-to-end lifecycle of high-value Tech Contracts, including MSAs, API Integration Agreements, SaaS, and Developer Agreements. B) Fintech & Strategic Partnerships: I managed complex, specialized Fintech contracts such as Co-Lending arrangements, Lead Sharing agreements, and Subcontracting Agreements. C) Deal Negotiation & Closing: I didn’t just draft these documents - I led contract negotiations to close deals quickly, ensuring that adequate legal safeguards were present. D) Operational Integration: Beyond drafting, I was heavily involved in assisting internal business operations with vendor onboarding processes and HR operation agreements. E) Regulatory Liaison & Dispute Resolution: I acted as the primary regulatory liaison, managing customer complaints and drafting formal responses to regulatory queries and legal notices.
