I am a reader and writer, with a BA in English. My focus is early draft feedback for fiction novels. I work with writers to improve sentence-level craft, consistency, and readability. My services do not guarantee any publishing opportunities, but I provide thoughtful, honest feedback to help writers improve grammar, sentence structure, and voice consistency for the reader. I specialize in fiction but am also available for nonfiction or academic requests.

My book was finished and I was looking for a review. Shelby's feedback was so good I called the printer and literally stopped the presses just in the nick of time. I made revisions and got a new manuscript to the printer and with just the small changes I made, my book is so much better.
