Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Freecharge Payments & Technologies Pvt. Ltd. | Gurgaon, India July 2025 – Present As an SDET in the FinTech & Payments domain, I work on testing and automating critical web, API, and end-to-end payment workflows. This professional experience allows me to bring a structured, production-focused QA approach to freelance projects. Key Experience: - End-to-end testing of web applications, APIs, and business-critical user journeys. - Manual and automation testing across functional, regression, smoke, sanity, integration, API, and E2E scenarios. - Web automation using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber BDD. - API testing and automation using Postman and REST Assured, including authentication, headers, status codes, payload validation, and negative scenarios. - Backend and database validation using SQL. - Detailed defect reporting and tracking using Jira, including clear reproduction steps, severity, impact, and supporting evidence. - CI/CD-based regression execution and test analysis using Jenkins. - Version control and collaborative development using Git/GitHub. - Experience testing complex merchant onboarding, payment processing, authorization, settlement, refund, and transaction/reporting workflows. - Currently expanding hands-on expertise in Playwright for modern web automation.
