Worked with a fitness coaching business that was using Claude to generate detailed 12-week training programs for clients but was manually transferring each program into its web application. The existing process was repetitive, time-consuming, and created opportunities for exercises, sets, reps, tempo, rest periods, and coaching notes to be entered incorrectly. I designed an automated program-ingestion workflow that converted Claude-generated training data into a structured format that the client’s application could process consistently. I focused on using structured JSON as the primary data format so each 12-week program could be separated into phases, weeks, training days, exercises, sets, repetitions, tempo, rest periods, and coach notes without requiring the client to manually rebuild the program. I mapped the required program fields to the application’s expected structure and established validation rules to reduce missing or incorrectly formatted data before the program was imported. I also worked around the existing phase templates so the automation could populate the correct sections of the client’s application rather than creating a separate workflow for every program. The workflow was designed around a review-and-approval process. After Claude generated the program and the data was structured for import, the client could review the populated program before approving it. I also preserved the ability to manually edit the program inside the application after import, allowing the coach to replace exercises, adjust training variables, or make client-specific changes without having to regenerate the entire program. The completed workflow reduced the amount of manual data entry required to build 12-week programs and provided a more consistent path from Claude-generated programming to the client’s web application.
