I build product recommendation systems for Shopify stores - and I publish my own on the Shopify App Store, so this is what I work on every day rather than occasionally.
My focus is supplement and sports nutrition stores, where the merchandising problem is specific: customers buy one product when three belong together, and when they run out they don't come back. Goal-based grouping and replenishment reminders solve both.
I'm a software engineer in Karlsruhe, Germany, working mainly in Python and JavaScript. I speak Italian, English and German - we can work in whichever suits you best.
