My role involves handling customer queries via phone, email, and live chat, ensuring that each interaction is clear, professional, and resolved at first contact wherever possible. I review daily billing discrepancies, exceptions, and unusual usage patterns to maintain accuracy and prevent errors before bills are issued. I manage a variety of service requests, including changes of ownership, booking final meter readings, and coordinating meter replacements. I also process refunds, credit transfers, and account adjustments in strict accordance with company policies and compliance requirements. An important part of my role is assessing leak rebate applications by carefully analysing water usage, supporting documents, and eligibility criteria to ensure fair and accurate outcomes for customers. Maintaining accurate customer account information is critical, and I ensure all data is up-to-date to support smooth billing operations and correct property ownership records. I work closely with cross-functional teams, including field services, finance, metering, and back-office billing, to resolve service issues efficiently and provide seamless support to customers. This role has strengthened my problem-solving, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills, while allowing me to provide empathetic and solutions-focused service to a diverse customer base.
