Former Assistant General Manager – Design (2026) at Wijeya Newspapers Ltd. Joined the company in 2005 as a Trainee Layout Designer and have steadily risen through the ranks to become the Assistant General Manager (AGM) – Design. Oversee the complete design, layout, and creative direction of all company publications in Sinhala, English, and Tamil, including Daily and Weekly Newspapers, Tabloids, and Magazines. Worked closely with the “Superior” Exercise Book brand and Times University (Wijeya Group) as the Head of Design, overseeing the complete creative process from concept development to final print production. Led the design of educational products, branding materials, advertising campaigns, packaging, and promotional collateral while maintaining brand consistency, implementing design standards, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including marketing, editorial, production, and commercial printing. Contributed to the successful growth and visual identity of two of the Wijeya Group’s leading educational brands. Lead a team of over 50 creative professionals, driving innovation, consistency, and excellence across all visual outputs.
