As a teaching professional, I am coaching at a professionally led PGA Suffolk County Junior Golf Program designed to introduce and accelerate young golfers (ages 5–13) into the game in a fun, active, and supportive environment. The program provides instruction in the core fundamentals of golf, including full swing mechanics, chipping, pitching, putting techniques, grip, stance, alignment, tempo, and overall course awareness. Students will develop confidence through engaging drills and age-appropriate coaching that focuses on improving swing consistency, short game touch, distance control, and accuracy on and around the greens. The program also emphasizes the importance of golf etiquette, sportsmanship, focus, fitness, patience, and decision-making skills that positively extend beyond the golf course and into everyday life. Through positive reinforcement and structured instruction, juniors will build a strong foundation in the game while learning to enjoy golf in a supportive, encouraging, and team-oriented atmosphere.
