I'm Héctor Castrillón, a Senior Concept Artist with 7+ years in sci-fi hard surface design — vehicles, mechs, weapons, spacecraft, and book covers for games, publishing, and product development.
My process is hybrid: 3D-aided pipeline (VR, Blender, Substance Painter, Plasticity) for structure, then Photoshop for final illustration. The result is concept art that looks production-ready and holds up under scrutiny.

During that time, I was responsible for designing spaceships, buildings, characters, and skins for the entire game development process. My role was essentially that of a Senior Concept Artist. A key part of my work involved constantly learning and experimenting with new techniques, both to refine my own skills and to share that knowledge with the rest of the team. I would then integrate those insights into improved workflows that could benefit the project as a whole.
