What do you need from me to start?
A short brief (what the document is for and who reads it), your source material (specs, decks, docs, product or repo access, research) and one person who knows the system for a call. A style guide or brand voice notes help too.
Can you write about AI systems, agents, evaluation, infrastructure and data?
Yes, this is my main lane. Recent public work covers retrieval architecture, agent security, model evaluation and AI compliance, written for technical readers first and executives second.
Do you do the design and layout?
I deliver designer ready copy with figure briefs and diagram sketches, and work directly with your designer through to final. Designed diagrams are available as an extra. Full document design is quoted separately.
How do revisions work?
Consolidate your team feedback into one round at a time. Each package includes the rounds listed, and rounds beyond that are billed as an extra, so batching notes pays off.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes. Mutual NDAs are fine, everything you share is treated as confidential, and nothing appears in a portfolio without written permission.
Which tools and formats do you work in?
Google Docs, Word, Markdown, Notion, Confluence, GitBook, Docusaurus and OpenAPI for API references. Tell me where the finished document lives and I will deliver in that format.
US or UK English?
Either, to your style guide. I am UK based and keep a daily overlap with US Eastern and Central time for calls.
I need a docs set, a series of pieces or ongoing content. How does that work?
Message me with the scope and I will send a custom offer. Larger projects run on milestones and ongoing work runs as a monthly retainer.
What if the subject is outside what you can write credibly?
I will tell you in the first message. It is rare, but I would rather say so than deliver something thin.
