I first became a full-time freelancer in 2013 so I could become a stay-at-home dad to my two micro-preemie daughters who needed more care than a nanny or sitter could give. What started as a temporary solution has blossomed into a full-time business and is one of the biggest blessings of my entire life.

I served as a copy editor for multiple print/digital publications and a real-time news website. Subject matter included natural gas, petroleum, the aviation industry, and 30+ chemical markets. I supplemented my writing/editing knowledge with deep dives into these industries to become a subject matter expert, attended conferences, and led seminars for reporters on a host of different subjects while also acting as a 1:1 writing coach.

I saw time a sports writer, news reporter, sports editor, managing editor, and publisher of multiple newspapers, magazines, and websites in this time frame.
