"I got introduced to a design approach where the research aspect comes first, and every single one of the design projects is informed by its context both socially and ecologically instead of just being about the form. Getting introduced to the process of design at sP+a, which is a well-known architectural firm based in Mumbai as part of the ArchDaily Top 50 Architectural Practices, made me understand the role that vernacular traditions, material sensibilities, and local engagement play in design in modern times as seen in designs such as the Temple of Steps and the Maya Somaya Library."
