POS system, inventory management and ecommerce store built end to end as the sole full stack developer, using ASP.NET Core 8 Web API, C#, SQL Server and React 19 with TypeScript. W3 POS is live in production at a retail shop. It grew out of my earlier Windows desktop POS, which I migrated to a modern web platform. The problem: counter sales, stock and online orders lived in separate tools, so stock counts rarely matched, causing stock-outs and overselling. The shop needed accurate inventory across the counter and the website, checkout that keeps working when the internet drops, and permissions for each staff member. What I built: ASP.NET Core 8 REST API with 29 controllers in C#, Entity Framework Core 8 and SQL Server, documented with Swagger One-screen React POS checkout: barcode scanning, coupons, tax, hold and resume Multi-store inventory management with purchases, vendors, returns and customer records Sales and profit reports across 25 admin screens, with CSV export JWT authentication, BCrypt password hashing, 25 role-based permissions and a full audit log Offline-first POS: product catalog cached in the browser, sales sync when back online Ecommerce storefront as an installable PWA in English and Urdu, with right-to-left layout A .NET 8 print agent for receipt and label printers Email sending with MailKit and barcode support with ZXing 70 automated test files (xUnit, Vitest, Playwright) run by Azure Pipelines CI Result: counter sales, inventory and online orders now share one SQL Server database. Stock stays consistent between the counter and the website, profit is visible per item, day and branch, and the shop keeps selling offline.
