Will this replace Heroku, Vercel or Netlify entirely?
Yes. Coolify/Dokploy give you push-to-deploy, rollbacks, SSL, & backups—on your own VPS. No monthly per-app fees, no traffic caps.
What kind of server do I need?
A clean Ubuntu 20.04/22.04 VPS with root SSH. 2 vCPU / 4 GB RAM runs Coolify + 2–4 apps. Add RAM/CPU as you install more tools.
Can you add more apps later?
Absolutely. Choose extras now or request an “add-on” gig anytime. Everything runs in Docker, so expansion is painless.
Is it secure?
I harden SSH, enable UFW & fail2ban, issue Let’s Encrypt SSL, and keep your stack behind Traefik reverse proxy. You control all keys & passwords.
Do I keep full ownership of the code & data?
Yes. All tools are open-source (MIT/AGPL). They live on your server under your domain—no vendor lock-in.
