I am the founder and publisher of Winn Publications, where I have spent years helping independent authors turn manuscripts and creative ideas into professionally produced, publication-ready books. My work spans the full book-production process, with experience in children's books, poetry collections, memoirs, anthologies, nonfiction, and other independently published titles. My responsibilities include interior book formatting and layout, children's book design, cover preparation, print and eBook file preparation, publishing-platform requirements, and guiding authors through the self-publishing process. I work extensively in Adobe InDesign and understand how design decisions affect the finished book and not just how a page looks on screen. This includes trim sizes, margins, bleeds, typography, image placement, resolution, page count considerations, and preparing files for platforms such as Amazon KDP and IngramSpark. My children's book work also includes AI-assisted illustration and visual development. I focus on character consistency, scene composition, emotional storytelling, backgrounds and environments, and creating illustrations that function together as part of a complete book rather than as unrelated individual images. Through Winn Publications and its children's publishing imprint, Arlo Irving, I combine publishing knowledge with creative book design to help independent authors create polished books prepared for real-world publication.
