Ongoing technical care of the online shop of a Berlin spirits producer, alongside my main roles. Core, theme and plugin updates after a test run, PHP version upgrades, EU tax rates for cross border shipping, electronic invoicing with ZUGFeRD, the online cancellation button required by German law, spam protection on checkout (Cloudflare Turnstile), affiliate tracking (Daisycon), data exports for accounting, and the connection to the Xentral ERP for orders, stock and invoices. Frontend changes on the theme and on Elementor pages. The shop has stayed online through every update since 2017.

State IT provider and statistical office of North Rhine-Westphalia. Three years on a large PHP application that had grown without a framework. About a year of that was the migration to Symfony on PHP 8.1, done while the system stayed in production and finished on schedule. Built an automated test setup with PHPUnit and Symfony application tests into the GitLab CI pipeline, so regressions were caught before release. Designed REST APIs between internal systems that replaced manual data transfers. Ongoing work on the same system: bug fixes, new features, code reviews, documentation, and UX changes worked out with the departments that used it.
