Engineered and launched Bolo, an enterprise-grade Android communication super-app designed as a high-performance WhatsApp clone. Built natively using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, the platform features real-time chat, ephemeral status updates, HD video/audio calling, and an integrated Generative AI module. Key Engineering Achievements: • Real-Time Communication (RTC): Integrated the Agora RTC SDK for WhatsApp-quality HD calling, managing complex hardware permissions and secure token server authentication. • High-Speed Sync Engine: Architected a reactive data layer using Firebase Firestore, Kotlin StateFlow, and strict MVVM patterns to ensure sub-100ms latency for messaging, media sharing, and live presence indicators. • Generative AI Integration: Developed an NLP-powered AI module ("BoloChef") that processes user inputs to generate structured data in multiple languages directly within the chat interface. • Low-Level Optimization: Identified and resolved complex memory alignment issues with high-performance native libraries (the "16 KB Master Fix") by forcing native library extraction, ensuring absolute stability on 64-bit architectures. • Custom UI Engineering: Built complex, mathematically calculated UI components from scratch using the Android Canvas API, including segmented status circles and fluid 60FPS navigation. This project showcases my ability to architect complex, real-time mobile ecosystems, manage background/foreground services, and integrate third-party SDKs into a seamless native Android application.
