For four years, my own business depended on one thing: copy that sold. I ran my own business making dog toys and wrote every product description myself. If the words didn't work, the toys didn't sell. A stroke meant I had to close that chapter, but the part I loved most, the writing, was something I could keep. Now I bring an owner's eye to other brands' copy: websites, product descriptions, emails, social. I built a dog toy business from the ground up and wrote all of its copy myself (product descriptions, social media posts, and sales content. I learned copywriting in the most direct way possible: by watching what sold and what didn't, with my own money on the line. I also handled suppliers, orders, and customer communication.
